I feel that this past week I've had my fingers cut off! No computer! It has been in the computer hospital under observation for a computer virus.
But all better now and I am spending an incredible amount of time going through all the postings that I've missed. It is sometimes better to wait a while and then get an eyeful of all the wonderful work out there - sensory overload!
So, in order to make my 'come back', I thought I would post a painting I did from one of the sketches in our life drawing group a month ago. I will also be putting this up at the end of the month for our annual Life Drawing and Landscape competition which is held by our local Art Society, South African Society of Artists. No selling, just judging by our peers! Nerve wracking!

I was wondering where you've been! So glad to know things are just fine with your computer too. The charcoal sketch itself is a thing of great beauty. My heart aches to be able to do what so many of you do. Wonderfully done, Liz!

Hi Dean - you are so right about computers!! And other things in life.... Of the 150 odd paintings put up for the evening, chances are not great, but hey, I did have a special mention last year, so who knows!
A few short years ago I didn't know that I needed a computer now I can't live without it! Nice painting, yes keep on posting so we can see your painting progression, good luck with the comp.

Glad you're back -- it's only been a couple of weeks, but we missed you.
I loved that charcoal drawing when you posted back in July, and it's great to see your painting turned out so beautifully.
I really like your painting - well done! Too bad about your computer my desktop hard drive "will fail soon" according to the diagnostics. Darn things you can't live with 'em and you can't shoot 'em. Although . . . . .

Ohmy Ramesh, that is certainly not a nice thing to happen. Did you lose everything? We are so darned reliant on these things, it gets quite scary sometimes.

thanks for commenting on my blog. I am pushing the season a little though we did have frost for two days last week. Some color showing up ever so slightly but I pushed it a litle on my Cottonwood paintings.
