Buddy

No time!  No time!  Isn't that what the White Rabbit said in Alice in Wonderland?  Or maybe it was We're late, we're late!  Well I've felt like that this past week and a half.  Down a hole!

We had our annual selection day and I seem to get involved with loads of administrative functions which eat away at Time.  So I haven't been visiting anyone in blogland and haven't done any blogging myself.  What little time I had, I did some painting!   Isn't that what we're supposed to do?

One of the smaller paintings I did was of Buddy, a cute looking, short legged Cocker Spaniel looking for a home at DARG.  Carrie Jacobsen who runs the blog of Art for Shelter Animals, wrote a lovely piece on DARG and put Buddy's picture up as well.  Have a look at the site.

But here's Buddy, a little fellow unable to be kept by his owners.

Congrats on being on their site. Buddy has such a cute face. I love the perspective you painted him from. He's looking up like, "I'm a sweetheart, love me!"

Good looking dog captured very well in your doggy portrait. I have to stay away from the adoption places - I'd want to take them all! :-) :-(

Maybe somebody who needs Buddy will come along soon and take him home.

Hi Prabal, I could think of no-one nicer than you to adopt Buddy! Carol Blackburn thinks so too!

Your two sound like great companions Martine! I would take Buddy (and all the others too) if I had lots and lots of space.

Hi Rachel and thanks. He does have that Cocker Spaniel appeal, doesn't he!

Thank you Carol for the great comment - you made me laugh and I'm sure Prabal had a chuckle as well!

Hi Gwen and thank you so much for the comment and visit. Hopefully I'll hear soon that he's found his forever home.

Thank you Shelley - he does have soulful eyes! Real heart wrenching stuff - but then my two spoilt ones can also pull that look off perfectly!

Ooh Claire, now you've made me stop and think about fur! I do find it relatively easy to do - but landscapes now - that's difficult!

Hi Benny and Lily. Glad you think Buddy looks like a great guy!

Hi Marian and thank you! Cute dogs like Buddy usually get adopted quite quickly! So here's hoping.

Dear Ken I can so understand that sentiment! I get my sister to drop the paintings off as it tears me up to see all those dogs so eagerly wanting to go home with you.

Hi Ramesh, thank you and I hope someone does!

Those eyes!!! What a wonderful portrait of this sweet boy. He looks so sad! almost as sad as I looked when I first looked at him. I don't think it will be long before he is swept up by a loving family.

Hi there Becky. Thank you. Between Bulldogs we once had a Cocker Spaniel - mad, playful, friendly little characters - they really deserve love and kindness, so hope Buddy gets his.

Dear Arti, thank you so much.
