Cup Cakes

I don't often do the paintings from Karin's blog because I always seem to be so slow - never finishing in time to send to her.

But these cup cakes were irresistible! To paint, that is. I don't really like cakes of any kind to eat - I find them too sweet. I prefer salty and spicy foods and love the f
ood of the East, from India through to China.

I know many of you are going to think I'm nuts for not liking these sugary delicacies, but that leaves all the more for you out there!

Well, you and I share the same taste i.e. salty and spicy food!Which indian dish do you like?
Anyways, you've painted this beautifully!

Have to admit that I'm a sweets person. I especially like cake, but only those that I make from home from the box mixes. The store bought cakes are too heavy to my mind. Weird, I know. Anyway, you did a fantabulous job on these cupcakes. I really love the background!

Liz, Your cupcakes are wonderful! Have not been on your blog for awhile (I've been on the road) and look what I have been missing. Love the bridge too!

I have seen the same exercise done by other too. They were all good. This one is also very good. Feel like taking a scoop of the cream on top. :)

I like YOURS!!!

Yes, the occasional cupcake ... especially the chocolate ones are "delish" to me.. but not often. You're better off... helps keep your girlish figure!!!

For not liking cupcakes, you've sure made them look enticing! Great job. And you got all of those sprinkles in. Wonderful painting!

Thank you Ramesh! As for the spicy side, I have no idea what the names of curries are, love them all as long as they don't burn!

Hi Autumn Leaves, thank you. I kind of liked the pinkness of the background as well.

So glad you visited Carol and thank you.

Hi Dean, I'm finding quite a few 'salt and spicy' fans! Also loved your spotlight cupcakes, so thank you for your kind words.

Gosh Prabal, thank you for visiting and thank you for the lovely comment!

A cupcake fan! Thank you Barbara - enjoy them for real.

Dear Marian, despite not being a cake fan, somewhere along the line I lost that girlish figure some time ago and can't find it! Maybe it's because I also like chocolate (without the cake)!!

Hey Sheila! I've missed you! Thank you and can't wait to see your cupcakes.

Rob, you've left me speechless! Special.

Hello there Arti - thank you. Maybe next time breathing cupcakes?

Thank you Cindi. Even though I don't eat them, I did really like the colour and composition so, yes, it was great to paint. Hope you had nibbles next to you the whole time!

Oh Dianne I'm so glad you're back. Can't wait to see what you'll be posting. Thank you and lots of love.

I prefer salty too, but my daughter would have loved these for her birthday today.. Your painting is wonderful. The shadows give such depth to it, and I love the sprinkles too.

Liz, thank you so much for your comment on my blog! It means a lot to me that you took the time. I've only had a few moments to look through your blog at your work but wow - You're so talented!

I'm definitely taking the guy out of the painting, thank you for the advice. You know, I don't mean to sound disrespectful to my instructor, and I guess I could understand if class were hectic or something, but I'm the only person in there, lol!

Anyway, thanks again!
